Merdeka..

So yeah, its gonna be 52 years for our country. Not so much of a hype but a chance for renewed optimism to flourish for its people.

By fate i grew up in this country, with its people and all the good and bad that came along with it.

My view is simple:In many ways, our country is better off compared to others.Im thankful for that, although there are loads of problems with this country as well, they arent as bad as what the average citizen of other countries are going through or worse.

Yes there is room for improvement, its the people that try to improve things that make this country better, not those that point out the bad and do nothing.

I hope sincerely, not only for myself, but for everyone, that this country really does move forward. With recession and the H1N1 virus plauging our nation, more than ever we need unity.

Thank God for such an imperfect yet, blessed nation.
*If i could type this in BM and put it on my PA exam paper with more suck-up'ness,id deff score an A XD*

Of what on earth pops out of my mind again...

Went to watch UP yesterday with some church friends.Seems it wasnt as great as i thought.Dont get me wrong it was okay and all,but there are some things bout it that just didnt seem right. So anyway not gonna spoil it for ya,haha

Been watching some movie trailers on Youtube,as you may (Or may not) know,im a HUGE fan of post-apocalyptic type of movies.Eg:28 Days Later,28 Weeks Later,I Am Legend,War Of The Worlds

But although not all of them are THAT good, atleast there are a few up which id wanna watch.Fortunately there are some coming up! Check out the trailers...

2012....

....owh dang, they disabled the embed code =/ Go check out the movies, heres the link

Daybreakers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9roxtugaUo

The Road http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbLgszfXTAY

Zombieland http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=071KqJu7WVo

On another note,i havent been talking much about MUSE lately. It seems my infatuation for them has cooled down after awhile =P Heard their latest single ''Uprising'' which Lucas informed me about all of a sudden. Was kinda........predictable? But it still has that signature queerness that MUSE always has.haha
Their new album THE RESISTANCE will be hitting store shelves next month, not sure if i want to part with my allowance to buy it.*Although some people would fork out cash to buy just about anything they really like.EG:Jeans -Hint-*

Owh yeah, worship practice today was alrite i guess,my drumming skills are kinda rusty since ive been playing the guitar most of the time.Although i can cope with the beat,i gotta hear the song first to really get things going =P

Need i talk about football?....Nevermind,youd (Or maybe youd not?) probably guess what im gonna hope for XD
So anyway Mondays Merdeka Day and i dont feel the slightest bit patriotic (tsk tsk tsk).

Sigh,i wish people would just throw out raw emotion instead of hiding themselves behind masks. Its tough to do that because i guess others may not be in the mood? Hah

What women (The more feminine ones) say...

Obviously not true for the most part, according to some of my female counterparts but what the heck XD...

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

(1) Fine : This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes : If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing : This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead : This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh : This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That's Okay : This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks : A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome'. that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever : Is a woman's way of saying F- - - YOU!

(9) Don't worry about it, I got it : Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

A week of hols

Well todays Monday, ill be free for a whole week.My biggest fear is probably the fact that all ill ever do is laze around and get nothing done.(Which is 99.9% ALWAYS the case)So ive got some things up for this week, but the problem is i stay in Puchong and transport is always a problem for me =/

1.BBQ at Marcus's place later tonight, apparently the whole FORM 6 posse is going? Well its ALL THE WAY at Kota Kemuning which is at the other side of Malaysia!! Bleh, dads making noise cus he has to send me all the way there...if only i had my own GENUINE transport*Hint*

2.Im in the worship team this Sunday. If theres one thing id always love to do,thats play for worship, its always a fun experience.Too bad i never had the chance to do so for CF back in SMKSU =/ Ah well...

3.My family went to watch UP yesterday (In which i proceeded to crack a lame joke about sequels DOWN,LEFT and RIGHT coming up ==")Some church friends are gonna watch it this Friday, hope i can go.=)

As for what ive been up to lately....

1.Heard of Tommy Emmanuel? Well he's supposedly THE king of finger-style guitar playing. His skills have enthralled people of all ages for many years with enchanting and captivating acoustic guitar instrumentals. So yeah, ive been a fan of him for quite some time, but guess what? Finding his music sheets on the net are extremely tough. The tabs provided in UG are of little to no use.LUckily for me,i hit the jackpot as i stumbled upon a site that provides actual music sheets of all his songs! I went ecstatic when i saw it and proceeded to print everything! Now i can play a number of his songs already =D Lol...

2.Test just finished last week.So what do i think of my very first Form 6 test? Well,im kinda guessing id do ''kinda'' ok for Bio and Chem while id possibly screw my PA (BM is my weakest) because of the essay while MATHS T i know very well that im slaughtered X) Well thats why i have a whole week to revise!!! (Which i apparently wont do)

3.Well as some of you guys should know, ive been raving about how football season is back on weekends. So yeah,im glad to be able to watch my Chelsea play again on TV hah!
Everytime they win,im a happier man(I know its sad,i can hear the echoes of someone saying ''Get A Life!'' in the distance)

So okay Chelsea are now 2nd on the league table tied with Tottenham on points but lacking in goal difference.Man Utd have and Liverpool are already 3 points behind *HAH* and Arsenal have a game in hand.Things are looking good for Chelsea this season, then again its only 3 games in.I just hope they dont screw themselves mid-season like last season where they lost their direction.OO

Haha enough about football...

4.Facebooking is kinda getting boring...

5.I find ''Mama Do'' on the radio extremely annoying, sister keeps singing it

6.Limewire is acting gay,i cant seem to download a song i heard on FIFA 09 (Which seems to be the ONLY videogame im still playing =P)

7.Im getting tired of forgiving people for their wrongs,i dont know when its too much and when's the right time to snap =S

8.Is there such a thing as a ''right'' and ''wrong'' way to start/be in a relationship? On what basis should one start? Im really glad and yet perplexed at how some people have it so much easier compared to others. Its like some dont even try and yet its going their way while for others, they just dwell in heartbreak after trying so hard =/

I read an article on this (Which is surprisingly from my MUET testpaper and another from the internet).Well there is an aesthetic view to this and a Biological one, they both complement each other.

Aesthetic view:The MUET test paper mentioned TIMING.It seems that for some people, its the timing that affects how ready they are for a relationship. So while one person may be wholly ready to give his/her heart to someone else, that other person may not be ready to commit. Its times like these when, according to the MUET paper,it is often best not to make a move, because its not the right time.Dont ask me how to tell when it's the right time,i dont know that =P

Biological view:Hehehehe time to put my BIO to use? lol,so anyway....

The pituary gland in your brain controls the secretion of hormones to the body. This body hormones (Such as dopamine, oxytocin and vasopressin) are excreted out to the body causing increase heartbeat rate, better focus and faster reflexes. This is more so when the person you are attracted to is nearby.

So basically, when your body secretes these hormones (The ones i mentioned) your mind is telling you that he/she is attractive (One way or another eh? hehe) and worth chasing after. The problem arises when the same situation cannot be said of the person you are attracted to.(Hence, the ''Timing'' from the aesthetic view) In his/her body chemistry, the right mix of stimuli isnt enough to cause him/her to develop a huge enough mental reaction to ''like you back'''.Cases like this usually lead to things like depression, heartache and sorrow.Haha

There's this one hormone,i suggest you keep it in mind:SEROTONIN.You know how when you're ''deeply in love'' and nothing else in the world matters but that one special guy/girl and you JUST CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT HER?...or HIM?

Well blame this hormone, its the main hormone for influencing obsessive-compulsive disorder.Believe it.Obviously, the level at which it is secreted affects how deeply affectionate one is towards another.("IF I CANT HAVE YOU,NO ONE CAN!!!!" comes to mind XD)

Owh yeah another thing,i read that the effects of these hormones can last anywhere from a few weeks to even years or decadesIm kinda guessing thats why, sometimes romance ''dies out'' in a relationship? Probably because of the hormones ;)

So the conclusion.....be aware that emotions are dictated LARGELY by hormones especially when they are secreted during the attraction phase of a relationship. So once they die down,be prepared, because its highly like thats when the true basis of the relationship will be tested.

Haha all i know is,this kinda thing, must pandai-pandai la,use logic, look at bigger picture.Im still single so who am i to say these =P

9.Looks like im not sick of SUPREME COMMANDER,im such a geek X)

10.Gotta practice and perfect some of my songs on guitar

So much free time to blog eh? There ya go people!!

Whoa scary

Imagine the people you once knew doing things youd thought they'll never do.Well people change with time, and its up to ourselves to decide whats best for us,so if the people around you start changing unexpectedly, dont follow suit if its not who you are.People change, for better or for worse, and if you really care, atleast share your thoughts.

Im talking bout clubbing. Not that im close-minded but there are some things id just not like to do X)

Lazy to blog...

Well, ill keep it short and simple, laxy to blog =P

Okay so:

The days go zoom

Owh crap, its Friday again....gosh could still remember telling Pav last Monday how it was a whole new week and like an instant BAM!...the weekends are here again.Lol is it me or does routine life actually make the days go by faster?

And owh goodness, its AUGUST already? =S I still have fresh memories of the things i did in the 1st half of the year which included:

a)Rotting ALOT at home
b)Finishing my driving course
c)Going to work for 2 months
d)Going on outings with Chooi Si and a few other friends/Watching movies

Come to think of it,i even have the memories of new years eve fresh in my mind as well! Owh gosh, time really does fly-by!

And now,ive met the likes of Pav,Jonathan Tan,Sharleen and an old friend in the form of Marcus Foo all in Form 6.The best part,as Pav mentioned so well, its as if we've known each other like forever.Haha

Its the little things like these that really make the year worthwhile, making new friends, yet still going strong with the old friends as well, not to mention the outings, those were good.

Through it all,ive witnessed so many things happened in my friends lives and the joys/troubles they go through just like me,the fact is,we didnt lose touch and that keeps me going,im real glad with everything now, although i may have stumbled abit here and there =P

Ok so anyway,i read this self-help book in MPH today titled "Get from where you are now,to where you want to be" and it really got me boosted again (We're all human,we need that boost time and again) Imagine getting motivated by self-help books....well thats the whole point isnt it? Lol ive decided ONCE AGAIN to tidy up the messed-up parts of my life after reading it.

Hmm a test is gonna be out 2 weeks from now and after that we're gonna have a SHORT HOLIDAY! Must plan some outings with the Form 6 posse and my other friends from the past (Had to put it that way ==") But before that,i have to plan some dumb Merdeka-related event for school, bleh~

Anything else? Owh yeah,i got this injury in Petaling Street last Saturday where the path was overcrowded and there were alot of food stalls,it just so happened that some genius bumped into me from the back and i landed my arm on a HOT stove causing part of my right arm to BURN.The wound looked gruesome, but for some reason,it didnt hurt as much.haha

And i also watched "Land Of The Lost" starring Will Ferrell.Though i loved the actor, the movie wasnt good at all,in fact, after watching it,youd feel like youve wasted your time despite the fact that the show was mildly entertaining at best.Apparently its based on some TV series based back in the 70's (Or was it 80's?) Anywho, watch it only if you have time to kill and it looks like movies are running outta ideas OO

Thats it for this week.So until something BIG happens, till then fellow readers..

The value of optimism and keeping it simple

Seriously,i think im that kinda guy by nature.

Ive realized for quite awhile now that no matter what i do,i cant seem to find myself in complicated or stressful situations. Not that im complaining or anything but somehow life almost always ends up pretty simple for me,(No its not the conclusion from that quiz i took on FB).And when i try to complicate things,i just do so because i get bored of the simpleness XD

Maybe its the way i think or something,ah well, perhaps thats why i seem serious at times? Because i revert into "simple" mode, meaning i dont say much because "all is good".Haha

If i were asked about my "darkest hour" id probably not give any answer because i dont think i had ever let any bad situation over get to me so deep.Is that a good thing?Lol i guess its my uncanny ability to always find pick myself up no matter how bleak the situation.

Call me crazy if you want, but thats me.Dont get me wrong,i can crap bout alot of stuff (Just read my older posts) but deep down,id always LOVE it when things are viewed at with simplicity and optimism =D

Owh yeah, heres poem i composed, not a very good poet though,i just crap my mind out, like alot of other things in life!

A Womans Love
A womans love,
is like the ocean of blue,
deep as it can be,
fluctuating at its surface from time to time,
yet always true to its form.

A womans love,
its when she seeks your warmth,
for only that comforts her.

Its when she holds your hand,
knowing she'd be safe.

Its when she looks into your eyes,
and shows you her soul.

Its when she puts you first,
because you know what she's worth.

Her spirit is lifted high,
and the world around her becomes secondary,
Her heart flusters with passionate fire,
as she tears down her walls...
removes her mask...

And in the end,
she'd let her guard down,
and grant that envious right,
to no other but only one..

Guys,
treasure what you have,do not take it for granted,
because in your hand,
lies a willing heart,
a kind spirit,
and a fireful soul,
A womans love..
