Mid-year 2011

I wont say im back again, thats how i've started my previous posts of late.lol

So much has happened since my last post which i am keen to update here.Again and again i would like to apologize for my procrastination as hardly took the effort to sit down and blog.

Right now,it's the 2nd last day of my two week holiday back home in KL.

During the past few months,i've already entered university and started my long 4-year journey to getting my degree.

Having already stayed there for the past 5 months,i can say with clarity that i've enjoyed my experience there, the campus looks great,a fair number of internationals and managed to settle down fast, thanks in large part to the friends i've met.

God has been truly awesome to me in my time there. The only thing i can comment on is my struggle to mix with people OTHER than the ones i mix with,my Chinese isnt exactly the best yknow, haha

Also want to talk about the Bersih Rally 2.0 (Google it).

Its really testing times for my country,a corrupt government,a blind police force and a ridiculous ban on the colour yellow for clothing (or anything related to yellow). With every stupid measure the government takes to stop and hamper the rally,i can only laugh at how dumb they can be at adding fuel to the fire.Their credibility drops with every passing day.Considering that the rally is tomorrow,i cannot wait to see how things escalate.

There's just so much injustice here that many people living overseas can be forgiven for staying there. The level of bias seen in the local newspapers (The Star) is a disturbing indication of how horrible the government will go to mislead the public.

Now yellow is seen as a one-way ticket to jail, can you believe that?! (Yellow is the primary colour used by Berish Rally organizers on their T-shirts) Talk about a severe blow towards human rights. Innocent people have been arrested for it, which is sad. Clearly our nation is far from the democracy that it claims to be.

But you know the old cliche ''Freedom isnt free?",that statement still holds true even now.How far will we have to go,as a people,to attain justice? How much must we sacrifice, before people snap and realize something must be done?

Deep down,i wish to be a part of this,to do something for others, for my country, for my family. But fear holds me back,i am merely at the early stages of pursuing my tertiary education and i dont want to risk it.

This country needs change, and it cannot come at a better time. For those who have really sacrificed everything for our country's sake,i look-up to them.Hopefully ill be able to do my part soon.Somehow =P

Back in campus.

February Blues

IM BACK!

Once again, procrastination has gotten the better of me and then comes the big delay in-between blog posts.

I did mention i was going to blog about the Langkawi trip i mentioned in my previous post but im honestly quite lazy to type it all out here, haha sorry about that.

You can go check out my friends blog which has a post about it in one of her latest posts.Just look for ''Chooi Si'' in the friend links on the right.

Back to things in my life!

A very Happy Chinese New Year to all of my readers (if any) and to all you fellow yellow Chinese people out there! =P

Mine was a good one as usual except that there were three things i strangely did not do this year which are suppose to be typical of a usual Chinese New Year tradition:
1.Eat an orange (Not a single one!)
2.Eat Yee Sang (That dish where you stir all assorted food stuff?)
3.Take a family picture (Very queer)

So yeah, the trip down to Singapore this time around was slightly different as the torrential rains a few days ago caused flooding in many regions in the country and it was quite apparent along the side of the highway we were travelling on.

Ive applied for work in a couple of tuition centres to kill time, but unfortunately they dont have full-time classes for me to teach at the moment apart from replacement classes. So instead im looking for a day job at Sony Centre.

Apart from that im just bumming at home with my laptop or going to church or to cell group or to gym.Thats about it.

With exam results coming in March,i need to make use of my time productively (Not to mention keep my mind of them results.

I suspect my Cbox on the left is getting spammed by malicious internet programs, alot people i dont know typing weird stuff.Hmm

Tell next time,take care guys.
